MACHINE LEARNING

Machine learning is a very interesting concept to understand. The motive of machine learning is to become the machines as human, so that the machines can do the jobs of human.

As the meaning of “machine learning” is clear from its name, which means “machines are learning”. In simple words, we can say, “machine learning is a concept to train the machines in a manner that the machines can act as human beings without any programming code”.

Machine learning is quite similar to “artificial intelligence”, but more than AI, it is closely related to “data mining”. Data mining is a concept of extracting the data from the big data. Machine learning is a sub part of the artificial intelligence.

Let’s have an example to understand “what is machine learning?”

Example : Suppose if one wants to go out for a dinner in some restaurant in a new place, what is supposed to do to find a nearest restaurant, usually google is called in that situation. The google will tell you the restaurants near you with the reviews and the ratings. In this example machine learning is to find the restaurant near you, by extracting all the information of you.

The machine learning does not make use of programming codes, the machines learns by the past experiences and the data sets, pattern matching data, so that it can make decisions as us & analysis the data to predict the future.

The real world example of this is, the self driving car, in which the machine learning is used as it sense the traffic on the road is its intelligence, which we can called as artificial intelligence, but the concept behind the artificial intelligence is “Machine learning”. The car drives by itself, that means it does not need any driver to drive the car & park the car. The car senses the traffic, it also stops on the traffic signal lights if red. It can spot the differences between a man, animal and things.

The machine learning is concept of, machines to be act as the humans, that refers to when there will be no difference between a human and a machine. The machine will do everything that a human.

  v  Supervised learning as the name indicates the presence of a supervisor as a teacher. It is well labelled by algorithms and some new set of examples are given, the outcome for that examples are correct from the labelled data.

For instance, if we given a basket of fruits, then first step is to train machine about that fruits, so the correct outcome will be produced by the color and shape of the fruits. For example, if it is round and red then it is apple. This is the supervised learning.

  v  Unsupervised learning is not labelled or classified by the algorithms. In this learning, outcome is produced by using the data set of patterns and classified.

For instance, if we given a basket of fruits, machine will classified all the fruits on the basis of the color and shape of the fruits by itself, that is machine is not trained. 

  v   Reinforcement learning is differ from the supervised and unsupervised learning. No training is given to machine or no data sets are used. It is bound to learn from the past experiences and find the best way to produce the correct outcome.

For instance, we can say the puzzles given to the children to find the path to reach the destination without any training or as a lazy person always find the best ways to complete the work in short time.
